One thing that I find that many Medium readers and writers have in common is that they are seeking a better, more fulfilled life. I am no exception to this. I love to write and would like to find a way to make enough money writing that I can spend more time focusing on this and less time working on other moneymaking endeavors. I have some weight to lose; it affects my energy, my sleep and my self-esteem. Finally, I want to start trying some eBooks in addition to writing articles on online platforms.

To quantify, my goals for June are:

· 25 Medium articles

· 250000 steps for the month

· One finished and published e-book

Focusing on the Action

I see a lot of goals to make a certain amount of money. I don’t have the base habits down yet, so I’m a step behind this. I need to focus on the actions. And I’m aiming for a sum total at the end of the month because if I said, “once a day,” then I know myself well enough to know that if I miss a day, I might give up. In the past, when I have tried to follow through on goals, it’s better to aim for a lump sum than to guarantee every day.

Regular Check-Ins

One of my weekly articles will be a check-in on these goals. This may or may not be cheating, but it takes a bit of the pressure off (and in other ways keeps it on because I committed to fessing up on how I did. I’ll share my accomplishments and any insights as I write.

Thanks in advance for keeping me motivated. I’m looking forward to sharing my progress. Happy June 1!

I am a writer, mother, scientist, and seeker of a meaningful life. Not necessarily in that order.
